It's about the exhibition of Dario Regoyos, Spanish artist who is considered the best exponent of this artistic trend that is so popular among art fans.

This retrospective exhibition of Regoyos It brings together one hundred works of his most diverse themes, in which you can see the aesthetic evolution of the Asturian painter who was born in 1857 and of which the centenary of his death has recently been completed.

The work of Regoyos has, on the one hand, the influence of the Belgian and French avant-garde painters of its time and, on the other hand, it also reflects the cultural tradition of the so-called Black Spain.

The works presented in the exhibition come from different institutions, among which the Museum of Fine Arts from Bilbao, the Carmen Thyssen museum from Malaga, where he will travel later, the d'Orsay museum from Paris, the Reina Sofia Museum from Madrid and his own Thyssen-Bornemisza museum from Madrid.

The central axis of the exhibition is his impressionist paintings, style to which Regoyos He remained faithful despite the criticism received in his day.

After a first room in which works from their beginnings are presented, it is their landscape oils that star in the exhibition, in which you will also find a room dedicated to the Black Spain and another to divisionist experimentation.
