In this new days in Arizonawithin our coast to coast travel in the United States, we will make a journey of just over 300 kilometers from Holbrook to the city of Phoenix, state capital.
Holbrook It is a population located in Navajo County in Arizona and is the capital of this Indian ethnicity. It has about 5,000 inhabitants and is located in the historic Route 66.
Holbrook was founded in 1881, when the railroad was built, and owes its name to the first chief engineer of the Atlantic and Pacific Railroad company.
The trip to Phoenix has been fantastic. We have done it with the spirit in peace, invaded by the environment, with great tranquility.
Trams on the big avenues in Phoenix in Arizona
The landscape has been different from the last days, despite continuing in Arizona and heading to Phoenix, a city located in the middle of the desert. We have crossed mountains, valleys, vegetation everywhere, rivers, some lake ...
We have also passed near the Fool National Park, although in this case we have not visited. As always, many sensations by such nature, by its immensity, by sunny days and the eternal blue skies.
We have eaten in a Denny's Upon arriving at Phoenix And we have stayed at the hotel. The hotel receptionist, of Mexican origin, very friendly, has helped us to place ourselves both in the hotel and in Phoenix.
Taxis on the big avenues in Phoenix in Arizona
This afternoon, at 7:15 p.m., our friends from Cardereu Miquel and Dolors arrive, who will continue the tour with us for the next 15 days to San Francisco. We look forward to seeing you and sharing these wonders with someone !!
Before heading to the airport, we have passed through a supermarket Wal mart in Phoenix to replace the fridge and buy beers to share with Dolors and Miquel. We also thought of having dinner in the room with them because we thought they would be tired of the flight (Barcelona, Charlotte, Phoenix).
We have also traveled with the car the area of Tempe, where the motel is located, and which is characterized by its long and wide avenues that create a large network type mosaic.
It is a residential area, where new trams arrive from the downtown and where there are quite a few restaurants, shops and the occasional shopping center. All with a very dry desert heat of more than 40º !!
Phoenix stands in the heat of the great Sonora Desert, in central Arizona. Together with the homes of some contemporary Native American tribes, one of the main urban centers of greater growth, the metropolitan Phoenix area, with a population of more than four million inhabitants.

After going to phoenix airportcalled Sky Harbor, to pick up Dolors and Miquel, We have returned to the hotel where we had dinner in our room salad, cheese, something else, and generous Bud beers to accompany us while we commented on the vicissitudes of the last days and the plans of tomorrow, when we will visit downtown Phoenix and Sun City.
